From the Author
It's about relationships between women from 3 generations.
This book is not just about sex and drugs. It's about how hard it is to fit in when your different. this book expresses a girl's life and the phases she goes through. I wrote this book because of my Nonna emmigrating to Australia. I wanted to know how it felt to live without a close member of the family near you. I never knew I was going to sit down and write about racism or suicide.

Oh I love surprises, especially when they are books! Thank you so much :)

I enjoyed this book! Reminds me of when I was a teenager growing up in Brunswick. My best friends were girls like Josie, caught between the old country & Australia, and just wanting to fit in.

Released to my sister-in-law for the Never Judge a Book by its Cover Challenge - Week 3

Journal Entry 6 by PoppyFields from Brisbane, Queensland Australia on Friday, September 22, 2006
I caught the book at a school waiting room while conducting diagnostic interviews with kids there (I am a psychologist-in-training). I was still unsure about taking it home as this was my first book-crossing experience, however after talking to a friend about it, she assured me this was the whole point of the exercise. I'm so glad I did! I've heard about this book but not read it myself. I am actually going to pass this on to my sisters who are in Yr 12 (as the heroine of the book was) as I think they may enjoy it. Then they can keep the ball rolling from there.
