Received in the mail Memorial Day Weekend. I have a few books in front of it. But once I read it I will post & pass it on. Thank You!

I started to read this book & left it (accidently) on a Septa train before I knew about bookcrossing. So I was bookcrossing before I knew I was. Plan on reading & releasing to diavollitto.

I read the first two stories & misplaced it. So I started to read "A Prayer For Owen Meany" which is a very different book (it is what the movie Simon Birch was based on.) I found the book in my spare bedroom & I'm putting APFOM on hold for a while to finish this one.

The first short story of the book was good, but when I finished it I thought they could do so much more with this story & character. Then I'm out book shopping and see "Trading Up" By Candace Bushnell. Here it's the story of Janey from the first story. I was so thrilled I had to buy it in paperback.

Although this was no "Sex and the City," it wasn't awful. I enjoyed the first story "Nice & Easy" though I thought it was cut short and could have evolved into a novel (which it has-now the topic of Bushnell's new book.)

The stories had no climax and seemingly, no point. If there was one, I didn't get it. And it drove me nuts how she used used pseudonyms (especially in "Platinum".) If I read about Dr. Q or Mr. K one more time I thought I'd scream.

Passing it on to the next bookcrosser & looking forward to reading Bushnell's new book "Trading Up."

Got in the mail yesterday, reading as we speak.

Much better than "Trading Up" in my opinion, but still not my style. Although it's definitely chick lit, I guess I have a hard time identifying and liking rich, spoiled women whose biggest concern is whether Chanel or Prada are in season that year.
