The Train of States
1 journaler for this copy...
This colorfully illustrated book uses the idea of a circus train to feature each of the fifty states. If I had an extra copy I'd definitely send it on a book ring. I have never really tried a book ring, but I would like to!
Each page features a different state and includes the following inrormation:
State Name
State Motto
Date of Statehood
Important Founders or Persons
State Flag
State Seal
State Capitol
State Tree
State Flower
Fun Fact
State Bird
The index is incredible. Listed under each state is a Can You Find feature that highlights a historical feature or state trait that is unique and worth remembering. The illustrations are colorful and time consuming. Reading this book can take hours even though the text is mostly limited to the above facts. I love how the author personalized each car on the train to represent the 50 states.
