Lord of a Thousand Nights

I had great fun reading this delightful follow-up book to Madeline Hunter's other historical romance. She matches an exasperating, beautiful widow with a warrior who, for all his notoriety as the master seducer 'Lord of a Thousand Nights' is a cynic when it comes to love.
In the face of Sir Ian's formidabble charms, Lady Reyna must somehow turn this legendary lover who's never lost his heart to a woman, into THE man who would exchange all his thousand nights just for one with her.
Besides the romance angle of this story, Madeline also keeps the reader enthralled with her excellent detailing of the period, and her portrayal of the ancient conflict between the Scots and the English. Some of my favourite characters from her earlier novels, David and Christiana de Abyndon, and Morvan Fitzwaryn and Anna de Leon, make appearances in this book and kept Sir Ian on his toes trying to prove his worth as a vassal while attmepting to quell a rebel. A great read.
