It's a new month... time for some new bug fixes!
While Matt is still working on harnessing the book data that we all have contributed to, and making it available for searches, he's also been rather busy fixing other things, and even adding some nifty little features. Read all about it in this Announcements forum post.

one of my boyfriend's books that he just couldn't get into.

From amazon.com:
Book Description
The near-future. Ireland is a world stage, hosting a prestigious Muslim Leaders' Conference. The delegates are hand-picked - but they are not to know that. Security is tight - but alas, not tight enough.

About the Author
Daniel Easterman was born in Belfast in 1949. He studied English, Persian, Arabic and Islamic Studies at the universities of Dublin, Edinburgh, and Cambridge, and lectured at the universities of Fez in Morocco and Newcastle upon Tyne. Dubbed by The Purloined Letter as 'easily the best thriller writer working today', he is the author of eleven bestselling novels, including The Judas Testament, Day of Wrath and The Final Judgement. He lives in the North of England with his wife, Beth, a writer of popular books on alternative medicine.

My name is Jawin ... and I am a thief. *looks carefully both ways*
I saw this on the desk of a certain Chook yesterday and snuck it out while he was not looking. I've read other things by this author and really enjoyed them.
I reckon I can get this one read before he packs books up to send to NZ - and before he notices it is gone.

Easterman is one of the best political thriller writers around, and he deserves more recognition than he appears to have been accorded.

This book brings together his personal background and his area of academic expertise. A Muslim Leaders', conference in ireland becomes the atrget of a myriad of plotters - including rogue elements of MI5. The conference is hijacked and delegates kidnapped by what appears to be a fundamentalist Christian loony sect. But who is behind all this - and what will be the outcome?

Easterman's descriptions bring the setting in the story to life and he maintains a dark sometimes tragic mood throughout. The plot is complex and twisting, combining the elements of a good spy story with a story of lost love and religious/political intrigue.

Well worth the read - and searching out others by this author.

Now I'll sneak this back across the table....

I was unable to attend the conference in Dunedin due to illness. The wonderful organisers asked if I would like my goodie bag as I had already paid for it. I received my bag yesterday and this book was included in it. Thank you. I will add it to my TBR pile.

I found this book tucked away in a cupboard, that's why it's taken me so long to read it. Not really mu cup of tea so I am sending it on to continue its journey.
