I found this book in the bookcase of the Than Binh 111 hotel in Hoi An. For a small donation to the local orphanage, you may borrow the books. I left a few of mine appropriately labelled as well.

A beautifully written book, which I enjoyed much better than Tuesdays with Morrie.
This is the story of Eddie the maintenance man, who at 83 dies in a tragic accident.
I love the way the book commences with the countdown to Eddie’s death where he is doing ordinary things. His trip to heaven is surprising to him and he is confronted by his past and five people who had an impact on his life. His meeting with Marguerite, his long deceased wife is particularly moving and brought me to tears.
A thought provoking book which indirectly made me reflect on who has impacted my life.

I really like the concept of this book. The idea that after one passes onto the next world, there are 5 people who try to help to make sense of a life. Although I was not reduced to tears, I did find the story moving and very sad. It is definitely a thought provoking book and it has made me step back and see who is making impacts on my life now.
