The book that inspired Francis Ford Coppola's movie classic, Apocalypse Now, takes us not only into the heart of colonial Africa, but into the darkness of the human soul.

So I originally wanted to reread this because I didn’t at all get it when I read it for English class in high school. I unfortunately didn’t really get it this time either. There are too many details left out for it to be an intelligible read. I think I could have used a key or commentary with the book.

But thanks for letting me have this book for so long. I will now release it on to continue its journey!
