Okay, it's a little outdated as far as practical first-aid is concerned (the chapter on smoke detectors begins with "Electronic smoke detectors, remarkable little gadgets... are now on the retail market in large numbers.") It looks like it's a collection of various articles that Reader's Digest condensed to bare usefulness and reprinted. But you have to admire a book that contains chapters titled "Death in the Kitchen", "Watch Out for Electric Smog", and "Moped Madness". DON'T use this book to learn CPR...
