A book of 9 short stories. I either really liked this book or really didn't. I'm not sure which. I didn't like the long wordy sentances and a couple of the stories were a little similar. However, it was quite unlike anything I've read for a long time - twisted fairytales, sometimes beautiful and macabre sometimes painfully sad and joyful all at the same time.

This was passed to me by knit-chick of ealing, as she says its a bit of an odd one- a bit wordy and the tales werent as enticing as their titles. It has made me want to read more stuff by Angela Carter. It has a very good cover too.
