This is one of my all time favorite books. I was just reading that the "inventor" of fractals was giving a talk in Portland, which reminded me of this book. I went to the bookcrossing site to see if anyone had it, and there it was, released in a town near me!! I will read it again, since it has been a while since I read it. Yeah!! I love a surprise ending, and this one sent shivers up my spine!!
