Anita goes to Tennessee to assist her former fiancé: he's in jail accused of rape. Mayhem involving crooked law enforcement, the local wolf pack and vampires ensues. I was a little uncomfortable reading this. The tone of the writing seems to have changed: less black humor (above quote notwithstanding) and more gore and magic.
