Book cover differs as this paperback was printed in 1976.

I wanted James so badly that I did not know what to do about it. There was only one thing to do, and that was to have him.'

When Jane's husband leaves her just as she is about to have their second child, the last thing she could ever imagine is finding someone else. But when her cousin Lucy and Lucy's husband James come to look after her, it is the beginning of a love affair that changes her life. In the intimacy of Jane's room, as the snow falls outside, she and James form an intense, passionate, all-consuming relationship, for which they will risk everything. But there is a price to pay for love, and with the joy comes guilt, longing and responsibility, and the question of whether one person can ever, truly, possess another..

Boring. I tried to read this book but the tedium of even Jane's giving birth and her depressed state was not for me.
Didn't finish it.

I wasn't going to go to The Book Shed today because I really have bought far too many books lately, just as well I did! This is the first book I have found in the wild and I am so excited. It doesnt look as if its a book I will enjoy but I couldn't care less. Woo Hoo I found my first!
