this was a disturbing story about medical care gone awry. made me think twice about managed care, that's for sure. this was a gripping story and i thoroughly enjoyed it. one of the best medical mystery/thrillers i've ever read.

much of the action here takes place on and around halloween, so i'm thinking that releasing this @ a halloween store would be... amusing. perhaps near the medical costumes.

i've decided to use this in my favorite authors/books bookbox. i've only read about half a dozen robin cook novels so far, but i love his writing. this is one of my favorites.
