I liked this one, especially in the early sections. I loved the detail about life in Afghanistan, and also liked the changed relationship of the father and son once they left the country. But I liked a bit less the narrator's 'transformation' into a novelist, and least of all the ending (which I won't spoil). All in all: a good read, fast and enjoyable.

A great read - a little too tidy at the end, but gripping nonetheless.

This was a great novel about what life was like in Afghanistan. I was especially interested in the class distinctioins, and yet the lack of them. A good read for anyone!
