Loved "The Good Earth" by Pearl Buck and really look forward to reading this one. I found it along with 7 other Pearl Buck books at a library sale for 50 cents each and it is in mint condition...sadly it looks like no one has read it.

This book was very good and gave me a look at what China went through after the Emperor left his position and just before the communist regime came into this country. The love of a mother and how time will change the outcome of what a mother plans for her daughters. It was very interesting reading.
