So far it's really good but I need to finish it...
Finally finished it. Don't be intimidated that it's a "classic." Read it again if you read it in high school. It deals with how wealth/money affects human beings, starting with a man who has nothing but his own farm and following his rise to wealth and prosperity and how it changes his life and the lives of his future generations. It really makes you realize that yes, money does make a difference, and in this book it's not always a good thing. Only drawback -- the langauge is a bit formal and sometimes hard to follow. But you can get used to that pretty quickly. It may not be exciting or thrilling in terms of plot, but you can really get into the characters and it deals with real issues that are present in our own society today.
