2 journalers for this copy...
From the back:
"Pages from a journal are loosely sewn into a quilt. A quilt that lies undisturbed for more than three hundred years until it is carefully taken apart for cleaning and out of its folds fall a powerful and moving story. The story of Mary - granddaughter of a witch".
Mary's grandmother is hanged as a witch and for her own safety she is despatched with a band of puritans bound for a new life in America, but further danger awaits her there too...
I didn't realise at first that this was a children's book, but nevertheless it is an interesting and very quick read. There is also a sequel which I must lay my hands on sometime...have to find out what happens to Mary!
