Amazon.uk.co Synopsis . . .
"200 years after being plucked from obscurity to marry the Crown Prince of Korea, the Red Queen's ghost decides to set the record straight about her extraordinary existence - and Dr Babs Halliwell, with her own complicated past, is the perfect envoy. Why does the Red Queen pick Babs to keep her story alive, and what else does she want from her? A terrific novel set in 18th century Korea and the present day, The Red Queen is a rich and atmospheric novel about love, and what it means to be remembered."

This is a really unusual book, it is part fact and part fiction and at times it is diificult to tell exactly what is fact and what is fiction.

The first half of the book (Ancient Times), tells the story of the Crown Princess and is at times a bit tedious to read, however the story does improve in the second half of the book (Modern Times), which tells of the effect the Princesses story has on Dr Halliwell and the manner in which she deals with it.

Not a bad read, but I wouldn't rave about it either. I will be releasing this book again soon.

This lovely looking book has been read by several members of my family. However, I'm afraid, with the current size of my Mt TBR, that I am unlikely to get around to reading this any time soon. It deserves to be enjoyed so will pass this on soon. I have offered it to another BC-er who has this on their wishlist and am awaiting their response.
