The Castles of Tuhbowgule is a magical ale about the Sydney of olden days, as see through the eyes of four Aboriginal children.

Two hundred years ago, the fate of the Eora people was in the hands of Pemulwuy, the Rainbow Warrior - and threatened by the white colonists who built their "castles" on the edge fo Port Jackson, known to the Aborigines as Tuhbowgule.

Caught in this great struggle were four Eora children: a girl, Nargel, and three boys, Yenowee, Gomil and Bungaree. Bungaree led the others to the Castles of Tuhbowgule. There, he was tempted by the way white people lived, but all the children came under the spell of the terrible and mysterious Pemulwuy, the only one who truly understood what was happening to their people.

Fourteen-year-old Haidi Willmot has turned the story fo Pemulwuy (previously told in the best-selling novel by her father, Eric) into a unique novel of exceptional power, which will engage readers from the ages of eight to twelve, and upward.

The Castles of Tuhbowgule is a true Australian tale by a remarkable young storyteller.
