I first read this book at College studying my A levels. I was incredibly impressed with Ishiguro's rendition of life in a Country House in the months before World War Two.
There is a tension throughout the novel between the relationship of Stevens and Miss Kenton and the actions of their employer, Mr Farraday.
Hope you enjoy it and read some more of Ishiguro's work.
