It's a new month... time for some new bug fixes!
While Matt is still working on harnessing the book data that we all have contributed to, and making it available for searches, he's also been rather busy fixing other things, and even adding some nifty little features. Read all about it in this Announcements forum post.

Registering this old paperback is my return to the bookcrossing habit in a very new place. As I've moved, all my books have shifted in transit, many have revealed themselves to me again after years of just sitting on the shelf. Glancing into this 1974 winner of the Pulitzer Prize, I've recognized it as a forerunner of Anne Lamot's memoirs and many of the things people are reading today. I'm out of place and still not quite removed entirely from my old location so I just read sections slowly. I suppose a memoir like this with a conversational tone is good for bringing me around, restoring some kind of equilibrium. We'll see. Returning to this book, I find I enjoy Dillard's sense of wonderment and sense of humor. Well off to read some more. I'll remember this as the first book of my new place.

My new place is no longer new. I have lived here over a year. How I long for a pristine place like Tinker Creek. When I moved to this neighborhood as a girl, I found the holiness of Tinker Creek here. Of course, I had time after school to go wander the creeks. Sadly, years later, the land here is wounded by rampant overdevelopment--as is just about everything in the Atlanta region. Still, the life-giving veins of the creeks flow here. Next year, I want to find them again. This weekend, I serendipitously found a first-edition copy of this, so I've decided to release this one. I hope it will be enjoyed.
