The Earl of St. Merryn needs a woman to be his companion in society so he is not bothered with the issue of marriage, during "the season". He makes an offer to Miss Eleanor Lodge and she accepts for her own reasons. This is a very funny book with lots of twist in it. A great Regency romance!
