Loved it! Many thanks! I don't normally enjoy love stories, but this was intelligent, funny, moving and generally wonderful. Who wants it next?

Having seen Jehanine snaffle this at a previous BC meet I made sure of getting her to pass it on when she'd done with it.

I'm very glad I did! A wonderful story of tender yet difficult love, wound up in a disjointed schema that wouldn't be out of place in a run-of-the-mill sci fi romp. The writing was stylistically straight forward but highly accomplished and effective. The main proponents drew me into their situation and engendered sympathy and interest without ever straying into cloying sentimentality. The story grabbed my attention and made the book hard to put down; the plot wasn't devious but managed to keep me wondering what would happen all the way to the end.

I highly recommend this book and so intend a friend to read it and will ask her to pass it to my sister, who I'm sure will enjoy it immensely.

I caught this book from my (American)next door neighbour. She advised me to give it 100 pages and I'd really love it. Unfortunately, I didn't until page 450! It was an OK story - well written, but it didn't capture me. I shall take it to work and see who picks it up.

I picked this up in work and read it on a journey of my own to Germany. I found it a little hard going initially but by page 140 I was hooked. I am passing this book onto my daughter who is on her travels to Thailand, I hope she enjoys it as much as I have.
