I'd give David Allen 11/10 if I could! He has devised a clear, simple, and holistic system for dealing with mental clutter, desk clutter, filing clutter, etc. I started with his downloadable 'Implementing David Allen's Workflow Processing using Microsoft Outlook' from www.davidco.com, and it transformed my life (I know - it doesn't sound like the sort of book that transforms your life).

I used to be overwhelmed by volume of work; never felt I had time for myself, my friends, or my family. Since I discovered and started his system at New Year 2005 my productivity has shot through the roof, and yet I feel so serene and energised. I no longer stumble from crisis to crisis.

I do need to put a lot of time into keeping the system alive - but I 'save' many more hours than I put in. I'm getting more done in work and at home, the incoming stress in my life has reduced considerably, and I've ended up being able to reclaim a personal life too - that was an added bonus that I didn't expect!

So many books these days tell you about goal setting and creating a vision, but don't tell you how to deal with the nitty gritty details of everyday life. That's the bit I used to get stuck on. I ~had~ my vision but couldn't get there for the huge pile of STUFF on my desk (and on the floor, in the cupboard...). If you're like I used to be, I can't recommend this book highly enough.

It's going in my permanent collection as I'll be referring to it again in the future, but I'm willing to lend it out locally and spread the word!

It's going to vist a friend of mine on Friday 18th March.

If you get even half as much from it as I have you'll love it!
