I've just started reading these, and am already hooked! I read two of Dorothy Allison's novels a few years ago and found her writing to be fascinating.

These stories were written early in Dorothy Allison's career, and they are edgy, angry, and honest. Some of the stories are more detailed, or similar accounts of things that happened in her most famous novel, Bastard Out of Carolina. Some of the stories also portray her love life, and others are about her complicated relationships with family.

I found myself thinking about Bastard Out of Carolina lately, even though I read it a couple years ago. I had to get more of Dorothy Allison's writing! This looks great! thanks, lonerunner! I will write another journal entry as soon as I'm finished reading it.
