From the back:
We hear the world will end on a Saturday. Next Saturday, in fact. Just before dinner. Unfortunately, Sister Mary Loquacious of the Chattering Order has misplaced the Antichrist. The Four Horsemen of hte Apocalypse ride motorcycles. And the representatives from Heaven and Hell have decided they actually likethe human race...

I have always wanted to read one of Neil Gaiman's books. I can't believe I haven't yet! Thanks for offering this one on the relays, midwinter. I look forward to reading it.

I started to read this but for some reason it just wasn't holding my interest. I'm disappointed because it really sounded like something I would enjoy. I know there are others who want to read this, so I'm making it available and hope to pass it on soon in a trade or on the relays.

Interestingly, I began reading Gaiman's American Gods today and I'm totally loving it...

Recieved yesterday! I was pretty sure what was in the package but wasn't going to let myself open it until I finished my homework readings~ which I didn't do until today~ And what a nice reward! Thanks for the trade, I'm a fan of both the authors so I have high hopes for this collaboration.

P. S. Water Witch is en route :)

This was a pretty good read, but didn't hold my interest as much as Gaiman's other works. I liked American Gods and Stardust better than Good Omens, maybe because I'm not a big Pratchett fan? I did enjoy the satirical flavor of the story, the friendship of the angel and the demon and the humanness of the AntiChrist. The ending was good and tied up all the loose threads nicely. Reminded me of the movie Dogma and Lamb by Christopher Moore.

Available for trade.

The Apocalypse is nearing, but the Antichrist has been misplaced, and an angel and demon that have been around since Creation are realizing that they're rather fond of the world and would prefer if it didn't end just now. This is a funny book. The bizarre asides, reminiscent of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, are really the best part. I can see now why this book is so popular among fans of humorous fantasy: it's wonderful. It's one of the rare books I could see myself reading multiple times.

Thanks so much for sharing this one. I'm setting this aside for my sister in New Hampshire, who is bound to enjoy it. She's not a BookCrosser, so she might not journal it, but it will definitely not go unappreciated.
