Barbara Kingsolver is my favorite living American author. What a gifted craftsman of words! This book is not at all similar in tone to "The Bean Trees" or "Pigs in Heaven", the books that introduced me to Kingsolver. This book, however, has the same richness of texture that always draws me to this author.
Dear reader, savor this book!

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
Kayjay had this on her wishlist. It's actually supposed to be part of a bookring or bookray, but apparently had gotten stalled.
So I mailed it off to her today. Maybe it'll get there before the Spring Thaw!

This book finally reached me today. I believe it got lost for awhile and then I went off on a cruise, but it is here with me now and I am very happy. Thank you very much ComradeCamper . This is one of my favorite authors, and it is so generous of you to send it to me along with another book from my wish list.
This book seems to be three separate stories but they all interconnect as you get further into the story. I learned a lot about organic gardening and the balance of nature. How one predator preys on the smaller one, right down to the smallest insect and if one specie is eliminated another will multiply out of control or become extinct as well. It was a very thought provoking book.
Thank you ComradeCamper for very kindly sending me this excellent book.

My sister Rocky12 was visiting and took this book home with her. She just now phoned and said she is almost finished because she sat up late reading. I think she likes it.
I wasn't sure whether or not I was going to like this book when I first started to read it. It seemed to be somewhat scattered ---- 3 stories in the one book. As I read farther, I began to see the separate stories come together. An excellent book.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Not sure if I'll get down to the library tomorrow or not. If I do it will be on the Bookcrossing shelf near the main desk.
I have yet to read it, but am a faithful re-reader of The Poisonwood Bible and have loved some of her other books so I look forward to the read!
