I can't thank you enough for this huge box of books which were supposed to be involved in the 2005 London Renegades Treasure Hunt. I am so sorry the post took so long and that they won't fulfil their destiny. Please rest assured that I will try to find a brilliant place to release them and/or share them out amongst the Renegades as suitable.

This was such a generous addition, I'm only sorry they didn't make it after all the trouble you went to. Thanks again.

I read this book as a child and I remember being shocked at two things. The first being how quickly Anne grew up in her writings. She was a babbling child one minute, cataloguing her moans and gripes with the world and a very mature voice reflecting on what she's lost and life as it is now the next. The other thing that struck me was that I didn't really like 'Anne' the person, or my perception of her from her diary. I always thought it was such a strange sensation to want to mentally devour and remember on behalf of this little girl but to not really like her.

I would be so much more comfortable with this book if Anne had made it through the war but then that wouldn't make it as important as it is to this day.
