The Clan of the Cave Bear

I went garage sale-ing today, and this one I got for free! An old lady was running an out-of-the-way sale and this was the only book in the lot. When I asked her how much she wanted for it, she told me to just take it, her son had dropped it off. I can't wait to find just the right spot to release this one!

RELEASE NOTES:

Postmarked 01/24/05 - I wonder what took it so long to get here?

After two false starts this spring I was finally able to sit down and read this one from beginning to end with no bookring interruptions! The first 100 pages were extrememly slow and under different circumstances I may not have finished the book at all. Assurances that it would become more compelling are all that kept me reading. The writing is intensely detailed and the characters nicely fleshed out and it's a great story. I'm looking forward to continuing Ayla's saga but I'll be taking a break for a bit before I continue with Valley of the Horses.
