Plain Truth
2 journalers for this copy...
Picked up at the Park Forest Library Book Sale today.
7/28 Update: I love Jodi Picoult's books because they deal with ambiguous ehtical situations where there is really no right answer and they never cease to surprise. This was no exception.

Finally got this in the mail, sorry it took me so long! I hope you enjoy it!
Came in the mail on Saturday in a book trade...can't wait to start reading!
10/14/05--UPDATE--I actually finished this book quite a while ago...I can't believe I forgot to journal it. One of the things I like about Picoult is the way she describes her characters. Katie Fisher and Ellie Hathaway could not have been more different, but through Picout's writing you were able to really understand both characters. I found that as I was reading I really, really wanted to dislike Katie for what she did to her newborn. But I found myself actually sympathizing with her and understanding her actions. I also liked "seeing" the Amish way of like through an outside like Ellie. I really enjoyed reading The Plain Truth and will share it with my sister (who I've managed to convert to a Jodi Picoult reader, now if I could only get her join bookcrossing so she will journal the books I share with her...)
