Mansfield Park is one of Jane Austen's least widely known novels. If you've seen the film, you surely must read this book, cause the film was terrible and the book is simply wonderful.
Some people don't like MP because it's more serious than other Austen books and far longer. But for those who like stories about girls finding their place in society (in this case, in a rich family in Mansfield Park), this is your book!
I normally say it's Jane Austen's version of Jane Eyre (although Jane Eyre was written decades later). It's also the only Austen book in which you see the heroine grow up.
Unmissable. I loved this book.
