I found this really hard going - but my dear husband found it a challenging but interesting read - on a 19hour flight to Australia - so he had no interruptions!
There are two plots running through this book - the original murder story in Ancient Greece - and the modern day translator - discovering something else within the footnotes.

A murder mystery is a great way to learn something about an unfamiliar society. Intrigued by first chapter - I think this one's just fought its way to the top of Mt TBR. A Stamford Arms meet-up find.
Interesting...clever...unpleasant. Ultimately, a bit silly.
