Read the book upon recommendation of a friend that knows that I enjoy English authors. The book was entertaining but I found myself getting frustrated with the main character and his weakness of character. Admittedly, this frustration took away from my enjoyment of the book. My friend that loved the book, says that this is because I am too judgemental. Probably better enjoyed by someone that has experienced the losing of the "love of their life".

I will agree that it is an entertaining book and well written and thus worthwhile passing on! ENJOY
