It's a new month... time for some new bug fixes!
While Matt is still working on harnessing the book data that we all have contributed to, and making it available for searches, he's also been rather busy fixing other things, and even adding some nifty little features. Read all about it in this Announcements forum post.

Journal Entry 4 by Amaranta20 from Seattle, Washington USA on Friday, April 1, 2005
I read this for the letter "J" in the 2005 author challenge, to read a book by one author I'd never read before for each letter of the alphabet.

I got this in the mail a few weeks ago and haven't journaled it yet. Sorry. But I just read it last night. It was reccommended to me by a girl I work with, who is a big fan of the western-romance genre and of this author in particular. So, I read it. And parts of it were good. I did not feel any chemistry between the two main characters, though, and tended to skim their love scenes. And it seems to be a requirement of the cowboy-romance that rape has to be involved as love. Because there was this side character who was really sweet and charming, until he got alone with the girl he loved. Then he sort of kidnapped her and called her "mustang girl" because she bucked to get away, and he was generally creepy and forced himself on her even though she said no, and when she asked if he intended to marry her afterward he said, "Sorry, girl, this bronc can't be tamed." But he otherwise continued to be sweet and charming, except in his dealings with this girl when he was really really creepy. So, I won't be reading more by this author.

But now I've read it.
