A Lesson Before Dying

This book represents the struggles of blacks in the 1940's. It shows a rare and beautiful sense of strength and pride for a young man facing execution for a crime he didn't commit. It also gives us a glimpse of the human psyche as a plantation school teacher prepares this young man for death.
I found this book to be a compelling read and recommend it to anyone with a free soul and open mind to learn more about themselves.
