I read Joey Pigza swallowed the key. I like it but I don’t like it that much. I don’t’ really like Joey because he acts very strangely and does weird things. Once he even swallowed his house key! Many people have this strange problem and they can’t help it. They sometimes even have to eat some medicine to get controlled.

I can make a whole list of things that Joey has done that were totally weird. Once he was trying to make a bumper for his mom’s car that said “HATE is Not a Family Value”. He wanted to see if he can make one for every car so he took the teacher’s extra sharp scissors to see if he could finish faster and accidentally cut of his classmate’s nose! He was suspended for 6 weeks. Now, that would be very scary even the ambulance came! The cut nose was bleeding as much as if a fire hose was cut.

Joey did many weird things before he was suspended. He would raise his hand to give an answer in math class and say “I’ll get back to you with that”. Another weird thing he did was swallow a key! At first the key was on a string and he would swallow it and pull it back out of his mouth. But then the teacher cut the string of and he swallowed it for good. If it were me, I wouldn’t even put it anywhere near my mouth. Then after 2 days, he pooped it out. He put it on a string and put it down his throat again. Now, that is called disgusting.

Now you know why I think Joey Pigza is weird. But actually the book is okay. It tells about a problem that certain people may have. This book will take you on a great adventure and tell you what you might be able to do if you run into the kind of troubles. I like it when Joey gets the good ideas, even though he might get into lots of trouble.

"Joey Pigza Swallowed the Key" has three letters and three words that represent the book. O for outstanding, A for astonishing, and I for incredible( I'm not just saying that because somebody is going to read it, I am saying it from the bottom of my heart)! One thing is just too bad. It's the title. To me, the title doesn't make sense. See, if I were the author, I would name the book "How Joey Pigza Swallowed the Key."

In the book, Joey is a wired boy who usually always says, "Can I get back to you on that?" when someone asks him a question. With an adventure like this, you'll actually think it's real! I think this book would get an A+ if Jack Gantos (the author) wrote this book in school!
