Having married my high school sweetheart, I had to buy and read this book after looking at the book jacket. It reads, "High school sweethearts Holly and Gerry were the kind of married couple that could finish each other's sentences, and even when they fought (like over who would be the one to get out of bed to turn off the light each night) they laughed." Reading the book jacket notes further, the idea of a widow distraught over the loss of her husband yet being comforted with notes he'd left behind for her to open each month after his death, I was very intrigued to see what was inside. It was a cute story, very light but fun. I was a little disappointed that the story got off track a bit and didn't delve more into the husband and wife's history or how he grew to know her so well as to leave the best instructions for her to follow in those notes after his death, but Cecelia Ahern's debut novel was worth reading.
