I have to admit, I didn't make it through The Joy Luck Club when I tried to read it in college. Of course, my time was limited and I might have given up because I had so much to do, but I remember being pretty bored with it. I don' t have a lot of sympathy for the whole "stuck between cultures" thing, much as that probably makes me an ignorant lout. :( Maybe someday I'll try it again. In the meantime, I know it's a popular book that a lot of people have found meaning in, so I'm realeasing it.

Finders of this book, if you liked it, please let me know WHY, and maybe someday I'll try to read it again.

Well, I left this in the women's locker room in my work building all day yesterday, but it was still there today. Geez.... I thought it was a popular chick pick and also that the privacy of the locker room might help people actually pick it up. Guess not... so now I have to think of a better place.

Released on Tuesday, August 20, 2002 at Mt. Auburn St. Star Market Bus Stop in Cambridge, Massachusetts USA.

I left it on a park bench, on the side outbound from Harvard, at about 4:30 today. Someone else got a successful pickup there earlier today... c'mon commuters, take it home!

I will start reading it tomorrow

Released on Thursday, September 05, 2002 at Post office just outside Harvard Bus station in Watertown, Massachusetts USA.

I finished reading the book yesterday and released it today at the bus stop benches just outside the post office. It was a nice book and I enjoyed it very much. The various stories about mothers and their daughters was warming and poignant at times. Hope the person who finds it enjoys it too!
