Pre-numbered label used for registration.

Hardcover book - by the same author as The Persian Pickle Club. Not as good as PPC, but still a good read set during the Civil War.

Loved this book! I've never read a book quite like this writting style and wasn't sure at first how that would go over with me, but I loved it! All the way through! Thanks for relaying this! Now it's off to it's new relay home... Enjoy!

I loved this book. "Mother Bullock" reminded me so much of my deceased mom-in-law. Would drive a saint to drink, I used to swear it drove me crazy to have her sit in my den waiting on Sunday dinner and being critical of everything. Oh what I couldn't give to have her here, doing the same annoying things one more time. Thank you for letting me read this book.

I loved this book. It was written in a great style - letters from one sister to another. Through her letters you see her mature and know the struggles she faced during the time her husband was away as a soldier during the Civil War. Some of the letters made you smile and some made you cry - altogether I would definitely recommend this book.

The book was okay, but kind of slow. Liked Mattie's Diary, by Sandra Dallas, much better
