Journal Entry 9 by wingcrimson-tidewing from Balingup, Western Australia Australia on Sunday, November 21, 2004
Great book. The plot is believable enough to be real, and the writing good enough to keep my interest all the way. Exciting story and excellent characters; he really does get inside the kids heads. Only negative from me is that the moralising bits are just that tad too obvious and preachy.
Just waiting for an address before sending on.

This is the first in the series. A tale of a group of teenagers who went away on a weekend camping trip and came back to find their country had been invaded by a foreign power. Although aimed at the younger teen readers this is a really enjoyable story, and one which makes you think about just how it would feel if our great country was at serious risk. Also makes me think on how Aboriginals must feel at the invasion of their country.

On to catsalive when I have the address.

Journal Entry 15 by Ravenbear from Brisbane, Queensland Australia on Thursday, December 1, 2005

Journal Entry 17 by tantan from Melbourne CBD, Victoria Australia on Friday, December 23, 2005
I really enjoyed this, and I'm glad I've finally read it - I remember looking at in the library in my early teens, but never actually getting it out. Very realistically written - I was quite spooked in one part. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series, so I'm glad I already have the next three here! :-)

Journal Entry 18 by tantan from Melbourne CBD, Victoria Australia on Tuesday, December 27, 2005
I've checked with catsalive who has read this previously so I'm setting the book to available status for now.

Just an update on the whereabouts of this book. It appears to have gone AWOL. I loaned it to a friend, who thought that she gave it back to me. I don't remember getting it back, but that said, I don't remember a lot of things. :-) So I'm going to put the status as travelling for now, and if it ever makes its way back into my possession I'll pass it on.
