Dee Dee comes across like a Punk Rock Holden Caulfied, which may be a bit surprising to long-time Ramones fans. He does gloss-over some well-known facts about his past, but the book is enjoyable none-the-less. Sadly, he overdosed not long after it came out, so the optimism he has at the end adds a tragic tinge.
