A young girl, aged 15, who is spoilt and adored, is sent to her uncle's house with her younger brother and sister. Her uncle is a tyrant and the lives the three lead is totally opposite to their previous pampered existence. But life, no matter how bad, goes on.

A short story - not sure how to describe it - Was very average in the sense that I neither liked not disliked it. Is a very emotional story - and the mental and physical abuse that is both inferred to and recorded is quite shocking at times.

I am glad I read the book - as it took me out of my comfort zone - am going to wild release the book tomorrow.
