I am unsure whether to list this book as "travel" or "religion/spirituality." It starts out as the former; it ends up as the latter.
My Sunday school teachers always treated the "Holy Land" as a dry and historic geography lesson. Feiler details these places as they exist today: hectic, vibrant and troubled. (Surprisingly, much as they were when Abraham, Moses and Jesus inhabited them).
