Gerry and Holly were soulmates, the kind of love that you get to experience once in a lifetime. She would be lost without him and he jokingly starts a "list" for Holly to make it through her days all in one piece. When Gerry suddenly dies from a terminal illness, Holly feels lost and alone and her friends and family try to support her as best as they can. Two months after Gerry dies, her mother tells her that a package has arrived for her and it is simply noted on the outside as the "list". Holly immediately retrieves it and finds inside that Gerry has left her 10 messages, to be opened on the first of every month. These messages become a life line for Holly and a part of Gerry for her to cherish for the next 10 months, each one with a P.S. of I love you. As the months pass and the messages grow fewer and fewer, to Holly's amazement she has begun to experience life again with Gerry's help. This was a wonderful book about grieving the loss of her soulmate and realizing that she does something to live for, even though Gerry is gone.
