From Keith in a pile he gave me as he departs from Hong Kong. I recollect Kazuo Ishiguro was on the Creative Writing Course at the University of East Anglia back in the days when I was there. I kept thinking of The Makioka Sisters by Jun'ichirō Tanizaki, which I read which I read when I was in Kaohsiung. It is a fine novel, though I am rather lazy and don't think enough about my reading these days.
