The Shelters of Stone (Earth's Children, Book 5)
3 journalers for this copy...
I've been waiting so long for this book to come out and then longer still to find it cheap which I did at the rummage sale in Winnetka this morning. Sweet. Can't wait to get back to Ayla and Jondalar's story.
8/20 Update: Oh, my goodness! I forgot how great this series was. The book was fantastic. I love Ayla and Jondolar's relationship! I even want to go back and reread the earlier books, especially Valley of the Horses and the Mammoth Hunters. Too bad I already released the copies I had... oh well... I'll just have to be on the lookout. I never reread books, but I'm going to have to make an exception in this case, even if they are 900 pages long!

Thanks for the book JCM. IF you ever want to reread the first books, I have them on my shelf!
I have to admit I was v ery disappointed by this book in the Earth Children Series. Ms. Auel added very little to the story line in the 800+ pages of this book. It was basically a retelling of the lessons learned and adventures experienced in the first 3 books. Of course, when you are reading a series you want to complete it, so although I am disappointed, I would have read it regardless of others opinions.

Another great page turner in the Earth's Children series! The book was much better than I expected based on other reviewers. I thought this was the last book but it appears that there is one more coming, I can't wait!
