Registered to get some classics into the OBCZ.

Just collected at the BCUK2004 Birmingham Unconvention to add to my tbr pile which has now tripled. yes, i am one of the many who arrived saying they wouldn't take many back, and then kept coming back from the table with a guilty look on my face trying to persuade myself and others that it didn't count for one of many reasons! The sight of so many people taking books was wonderful - thanks netstation for organising the meet.

A bittersweet short story about 2 men down on their luck. George looks out for Lennie his gentle and simple friend who has more strength than he can handle. Beautifully and evocatively written.

Thanks very much for this netstation. It is an excellent book, and well deserves its place in the Big Read. 53 down, 47 to go. It is a really touching book, with brilliantly crafted characters and a beautifully simple story - a true masterpiece. I will release this into my OBCZ for others to share.
