I really enjoyed this book! A great vacation read for any woman over age 30... Nice, quirky characters, interesting setting, and several times during the story to let a few tears fall. It will leave you happy & glad to be alive when you're finished!

Released on Friday, July 19, 2002 at Esquire's Coffee House, Village Stroll in Whistler, British Columbia Canada.

I left this at the back table right under the painting of the big bear resting on a log --- he looks so much like my friend's dog Bailey who's so sweet, looks quite like a big ol' bear, is getting on in years, & needs a log to rest on quite often. Hope you enjoy this book, fellow reader!

I'm a newbie and so excited that I found a book in the wild. I found it sort of by mistake ... Yesterday I checked out books (go hunting) left in the wild in Vancouver and noted that "The Diviners" was being released at a local Starbucks. Hopped over to Starbucks & didn't see any books on tables so asked an employee if they had picked up any books .. she pulled out "Big Stone Gap" from beneath the counter .. the surprise is, this book was released on Aug 4, and is of course not the book released yesterday ... never mind, a book is caught & I think that I will like this one better than "The Diviners", the book released yesterday .. no offence to Margaret Laurence RIP
I plan to read and of course release it into the wild blue yonder again ....

Very enjoyable read .. warm, funny, and quirky. I am releasing it by mail to a sister in St. Albans, Herts. U.K. Here's hoping she'll "Catch" it :)
