Wonderful book! Profound, cheerful, heartening, thoughtful. Cool also if you are interested in the idea of storytelling or happen to be writing a book on the theory of story (ah, that's me). I love Lloyd Alexander and this is a great one. Delicious and lightly romantic and not tainted by a precious notion of gritted reality.
