I got this at a meetup, gawd knows how long ago. I finally read 'Never Let me Go' by the same author, so decided to try this much earlier offering of his. Half way through it.
So, finished it. Rather turgid (though nonetheless interesting) account of the life of an English butler. A monologue. A bit sad in parts, but worth the effort.
